Description: Rue essential oil is commonly grown as an herb and also as an ornamental plant, but it’s a real gem as an essential oil. It is medicinal when used in small amounts.
Rue has been used for issues such as circulatory issues, muscle spasms, headaches, and much more. However, due to Rue’s toxicity in more-than-small amounts, we highly recommend that Rue be used under the guidance of qualified medical professional. Rue can be an abortifacient, causing miscarriage, so never take during pregnancy.
Rue is often used as a cat and snake deterrent because they tend to dislike its aroma, although the efficiency for snake deterring is not well-known, although worth a try. Rue is also used as an insect repellent.
VERY IMPORTANT: FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, THIS PRODUCT IS FOR AROMATHERAPY-USE ONLY. RUE IS PHOTOTOXIC. DO NOT USE WITHOUT DILUTING AND DO NOT INGEST OR USE TOPICALLY WITHOUT GUIDANCE AND CLEARANCE BY A QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. DO NOT USE DURING PREGNANCY. Unless you have received clearance from a qualified medical professional, use only for aromatherapy. Any essential oil that is used topically should be well-diluted to prevent irritation and/or other possible side effects. Always perform a skin patch test before using topically to test for allergies and/or sensitivities. This product should not be used during pregnancy or used by anyone with a medical condition without first consulting your physician or other qualified medical professional.
