Description: Helichrysum Gymnocephalum is a much more rare version of Helichrysum than Immortelle (the more common, and much more expensive, Helichrysum). Both oils share some of the same benefits, such as both being regarded as an aphrodisiac, but there is quite a difference in aroma between the two.
When comparing Helichrysum g. to Helichrysum (Immortelle) is adored for it’s lovely aroma and is commonly added to perfumes and skincare products. Helichrysum Gymnocephalum, on the other hand, is appreciated for it’s affordability, but mostly it’s ability to help combat the symptoms of a cold and flu. At a much steeper price, Immortelle has immune support and antimicrobial properties as well.
This version of Helichrysum may not have the same luxurious qualities as Immortelle, but it is a wonderful essential oil to add to your essential oil collection, and it still makes a nice addition to some of your blend recipes.
