Description: Calamus has been used for ages and is even mentioned in the Bible as a holy anointing oil. Calamus is also commonly used in Ayurveda.
Some studies suggest that Calamus can have toxic effects when left on the skin for prolonged periods of time and should be used in products that can be rinsed off or used for spiritual anointing. Avoid using Calamus essential oil for aromatherapy.
